Capability

Widest Range

We manufacture the widest range of microwave transmission equipment for professional applications. It covers analogue and digital, point to point and point to multipoint, fixed and mobile systems at licenced and unlicenced frequencies.

Analogue - Point to Point - Point to Multipoint

The analogue systems provide the highest quality with no latency (delay between the event occurring and it being displayed). There are two point to point options. The first transmits one or two video signals and bi-directional telemetry over clear line of sight paths. Frequencies are from the licence exempt 5.8 GHz band to the interference free millimetric bands.

The second equipment is the multichannel link, which transmits up to 19 real time videos as well as telemetry. It is unique to Ogier and allows complete networks to be implemented using microwave. A point to multipoint version allows up to 15 videos to be received in any 90 degree sector.

Digital Equipment - Mobile - Point to Multipoint

The Mobile-T is ideal for mobile applications or where there is no line of sight. The video quality is equivalent to digital TV. The system uses OFDM technology employing the same DVB-T standard used by broadcasters, which enables it to operate as effectively from reflections as direct signals.

The 10.5 GHz wireless IP system (see broadband) can be used to provide wide area CCTV from hundreds of cameras over 360 degrees out to 10 km from the base station. Its an ideal solution where commercial premises are to be linked into a city wide CCTV network.

Benefits of Microwave

Microwave is simple and easy to install. In some cases, e.g. mobile, over water, inhospitable terrain or congested areas it can be the only solution. The video quality is to broadcast levels, which allows multiple relays to be employed. The multichannel link is particularly important because only one system is required to transmit up to 19 real time full resolution videos. It is neater, smaller, cheaper and easier to install than conventional microwave links. Growth potential is by plug-in modules.

Worldwide Installations

Our microwave networks have been installed worldwide as stand-alone systems and with fibre optic. They are employed in cities, at military bases, at seaports and airports and in border surveillance systems.
