Single Channel Links

Equipment Options

There are many options which together can meet all CCTV requirements. Brief descriptions are provided below and please click Specifications for details.

Automatic power and frequency control is used to avoid any adjustment during installation and to provide high video quality in demanding environments. The links operate between -20C to +60C, but options are available for -40C to +70C, including sunlight at 1 kW / sq m. The equipment complies with the EMC specification EN 300 339 for both emission and susceptibility. Also, unless otherwise stated they are compliant with the ETSI specification EN 300 632, or the equivalent UK specification.

Split Configuration

A long range equipment which comprises two units at either end; the Transceiver and the Modulator or Demodulator Base Unit. The range in all weathers is 25 km at 31 GHz and 80 km or more at 5 GHz. One or two video channels together with a bi-directional data can be transmitted.

Compact

All the electronics is contained in a single 40 x 20 x 20 cm enclosure at each end. The short range units operate at 58 GHz and transmit a video and bi-directional data at ranges of 600 metres to 1.2 km. The long range versions operate at 31 GHz and can transmit up to to 10 km. Two video and data options are also available.

SuperCompact

The SuperCompact is just 30 x 18 x 9 cm. It provides all the functionality of the Compact as well as in-built signal strength indicators for initial alignment and remote fault monitoring.

Unlicenced Links

The SL58 is a low cost single video and data equipment that operates in the unlicenced 5.8 GHz band. It has frequency and data switches and an in-built signal strength meter which makes it ideal for transportable applications. Like all unlicenced equipment, it is prone to interference, but suppression techniques have been incorporated to reduce this to a minimum.

Mobile Links

Our mobile, non line of sight, systems use Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex compliant with the international DVB-T standard for terrestrial digital broadcast. The equipment can be configured for many applications, including man portable and vehicle mounted. Different frequency converters are available for operation from 1 to 24 GHz. Man pack and vehicle mounted versions are described in Mobile Links
