Description
Two
units are required at each end of the link if there are
up to 10 videos. A transmit transceiver (see photograph)
and a modulator cabinet are installed at the camera end.
A receive transceiver and a demodulator cabinet (see photograph)
are installed at the control room end. There are two complete
sets of equipment for more than 10 videos.
The
appearance of the transmit and receive transceivers is identical.
In almost all equipment, the antennas are integrated into
the transceiver. Depending on the range, the 31 GHz equipment
is fitted with either 30 cm or 60 cm diameter parabolic
dishes. The 5 GHz equipment uses either integrated 30 cm
horns, or external 60 / 120 cm diameter parabolas. The modulator
and demodulator cabinets contain one module for each video.
Outdoor and indoor versions, with ventilation louvres, are
available.
Cabling
and Installation
The
equipment is easy and quick to install. Two coax cables
interconnect the units at either end of the link. All the
other external cables run to the cabinets. For more information
please click on the Installation Guidelines. The equipment
uses high performance antennas with low sidelobes. This
means that they can be installed side by side at the same
point to provide a total capacity in excess of 1,000 channels
at a single site.
